Who We Are
Anura Charitable Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to transforming lives and empowering underprivileged communities across India. Rooted in compassion and driven by purpose, we work tirelessly to ensure access to education, healthcare, dignity, and opportunity for all—regardless of background or circumstances.
Founded on the belief that every individual deserves a fair chance to live a meaningful life, we take a holistic approach—focusing on children, youth, women, elderly, and differently abled individuals. Our programs are built on values of empathy, equality, sustainability, and community empowerment.
The Genesis of Anura Foundation
In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, Vinaya Hebbar and Advocate Kailash Sonawane joined forces to establish Anura Foundation in 2020-2021. Their mission was to provide reliable resources to communities in distress.
Bridging the Gap
Recognizing the need for coordination between beneficiaries and government organizations, Anura Foundation aimed to serve as a conduit for effective implementation. By streamlining efforts, they ensured that aid from various agencies reached those in need efficiently.
Expanding Impact
Since its inception, Anura Charity Foundation has undertaken numerous impactful projects, benefiting over 5,000 individuals and transforming lives. As the organization grew, so did the demand for its services. To enhance its scope and governance, Anura Charity Foundation was formally registered as a Section 8 company, a not-for-profit entity under the Companies Act 1956.
By combining grassroots efforts with impactful initiatives, we aim to create a society where no one is left behind and where every person can thrive in harmony with the environment.
Together with our volunteers, partners, and supporters, we’re not just changing lives—we’re building a more just, inclusive, and compassionate world.
