Our Directors
Anura Charity Foundation is a Mumbai-based non-profit organization dedicated to transforming the lives of underprivileged children through quality education, healthcare, and community support. Driven by the belief that every child deserves the opportunity to thrive, Anura focuses on holistic development, academic empowerment, and sustainable change for marginalized communities across urban slums, tribal regions, and rural areas.
At the heart of this mission is Vinaya Hebbar, a dynamic and compassionate educationist with over 30 years of experience. As the visionary founder of Masoom Kids Play School and Nikita Tutorials, she has empowered thousands of young learners through inclusive, innovative, and child-focused teaching methods.
Holding M.A. degrees in History and English, a B.Ed., and a PG Diploma in School Management, Vinaya has earned recognition as a respected lecturer and award-winning educator. Her leadership extends beyond the classroom—as a devoted Rotarian and Inner Wheel member since 2008, she has led impactful initiatives in literacy, health, and community service.
Currently serving as District Literacy Chair (2025–26), she continues to champion free education for the children of community helpers. Her deep commitment to social upliftment and lifelong learning makes her the driving force behind Anura’s vision:

Meet Adv. Kailash Dattatraya Sonawane, a distinguished commerce and law graduate who has dedicated his life to serving the underprivileged and marginalized. Hailing from a humble background, Adv. K D Sonawane understands the struggles of pursuing education amidst adversity. His personal experiences ignited a passion to provide guidance and financial support to students from lower socio-economic strata.
Early Beginnings:
With a selfless spirit, Adv. K D Sonawane began helping poor students in his community and native place, the tribal district of Dhule. Leveraging his own resources and like-minded individuals, he made a meaningful impact in the lives of many.
Expanding His Reach:
Recognizing the need for support beyond education, Adv. KD Sonawane extended his services to care for the elderly. He visited old age homes, offering his time, talent, and resources to bring comfort and joy to those in need.
Rotary Journey:
In 2014, Adv. Kailash joined Rotary, amplifying his ability to make a difference. Through this platform, he worked tirelessly on environmental conservation initiatives, utilizing various means to promote sustainability. Every month, he dedicates a day to providing free legal advice to the community, further solidifying his commitment to public service.
Anura Charitable Foundation:
In 2021, Adv. Kailash partnered with fellow Rotarian Vinaya Hebbar to work under the umbrella of Anura Foundation, which was later registered as Anura Charity Foundation in April 2025. This collaboration has enabled them to reach more people and make a profound impact on the community.
A Distinguished Career:
As a practicing lawyer for over 27 years, Kailash Sonawane has earned recognition for his expertise. His appointment as Notary Public by the Government of India in January 2020 is a testament to his professional excellence.
